Eyelashes – small and delicate hairs that form the frame of the eyes, always seemed to be my biggest problem. However, it turned out that it wasn’t my lashes at all but the mascara I’ve been using! I’ve never had any luck with my choices and ended up with pretty average products. I managed to find a few mascaras that worked exceptionally well for me. Get to know them better!
Why is the choice of mascara so important?
Ladies, like most of you, I used to not pay much attention to what mascara I was buying. In a way, I accepted that my lashes were not in the best shape and there wasn’t much I could do about it.
I would go to the drugstore, grab a random mascara from the shelf, and, well… use it without much pleasure. However, the situation changed the moment I tested the mascaras I will present below. Thanks to them, I am now convinced that the right product can work real wonders.
I also found out how important is the brush, consistency, and formula of the product that I apply directly on my lashes. I think this ranking should also help you when making your choice!

Each mascara I have presented there was tested by me first. I will point out that my eyelashes are extremely problematic. Not only are they thin, but they’re also short, so that’s why the search for the perfect mascara was so important to me. Check out which products should find their place in your makeup bags!
1. Nanolash mascara
Let me start with the winner of this ranking, which in my opinion is the best mascara I have ever tested. We are talking about the Nanolash mascara. This is a high-quality product that precisely separated and defined my lashes.
The product comes with a silicone and perfectly shaped brush. The brush allowed me to reach even the shortest lashes and coat them evenly from root to tip.
I noticed that the Nanolash mascara is available in two versions:
- thickening mascara – Nanolash Volume Up Mascara;
- lengthening and curling mascara – Nanolash Length & Curl Mascara;
It’s good that the manufacturer offers such variety when it comes to one product. This is a definite advantage that lets you tailor it to your needs. A big plus for the durability of the product which didn’t get flaky or crumbly throughout the day.
2. Lashcode Mascara
The next place in my ranking goes to Lashcode Mascara. This is a mascara with lengthening and thickening properties.
I must admit that my lashes were clearly defined after the first application.
I also noticed that the product is long-wear. After all day, it did not crumble or smudge.
The brush in Lashcode Mascara is similar to that in Nanolash Mascara. It is well-shaped and separates the lashes very well. It made applying the product much easier for me.
3. Lancome Oscillation Power Mascara
The next place in my mini ranking goes to Lancome’s Oscillation mascara. This is a long-wear product.
I can’t complain about it as it ensured my lashes a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing look all day long. I also didn’t notice that it was getting smudged, although, at the end of the day, some product residue actually appeared on my eyelids.
The problem turned out to be the thin and long brush with fine and short bristles. Although it separated my eyelashes, I had a problem coating the shortest hairs in the corner of my eye.
4. Mac Mineralize Multi-Effect Lash
Mac Mineralize Multi-Effect Lash is a mascara that is primarily meant to lengthen lashes and make them look like false lashes. After applying two coats of the product, I actually couldn’t complain about the results. However, I think the two coats also led to the mascara becoming noticeably flaky by the end of the day.
The brush is quite good. I do have droopy eyelids, so it was more challenging to coat the small lashes in the corners with it. However, I think that if you don’t have a problem with droopy eyelids, the brush shape should be okay for you.
What are the results of my mini-ranking?
If you take a look at my mini ranking, you will notice that the Nanolash mascara proved the best option for me. Of course, I do not require that you all agree with me. However, Nanolash mascara allowed me to achieve the kind of effect on my short and thin eyelashes I have always dreamed of.
The other products are also worthy of attention. Even though I noticed some imperfections in them, they can still work great for you.
Remember that all of us has a different type of eyelashes and a different eye shape. So choose your mascara that perfectly suits your needs. Then you will definitely be satisfied with it!
