How did I get rid of comedones? Tried and tested hacks for each of you!

Comedones are tiny, mean and nasty bumps that make the face look unattractive. Most of you must have faced the problem. If you’ve tackled it, congratulations! Girls who still fight with clogged skin pores will find lots of useful skincare tips in the post. They’ll let them enjoy a smooth and beautiful face.

At first, let’s revise what we know about comedones, also called blackheads and whiteheads. What’s the common cause? The skin produces lots of sebum that clogs skin pores. In contact with the air, it oxidises and turns black. Some of the comedones turn into acne, pimples and other serious skin diseases. There are two types of comedones: open (blackheads) and closed (whiteheads). There are also milk spots that appear under the skin.

How to fight comedones? Make use of my tips!

Firstly, forget about popping pimples yourself. You would damage the epidermis, remove only a part of the comedo or cause irritation. Visiting an aesthetician for a professional treatment is a much better idea. I went for the set of treatments starting with manual cleansing finished with a moisturising mask. Next, I had a cavitation peel that helped me remove comedones. I also had chemical peel with almond acid. To my surprise, the aesthetician recommended using products with almond acid at home. Obviously, I had to use creams with UV filter during the treatment.

How do I cleanse my face now? I use delicate cleansing products in the morning ad evening. Remember that such cosmetics mustn’t include lubricating substances but soothing and antibacterial ones (not dehydrating). I get rid of dead skin cells with a sugar scrub a few times a week; next, I apply a mask to the cleansed skin. Peel off masks are my favourites; they ‘pull out’ the excess of sebum from the skin pores.

Microdermabrasion ready-made home treatments are getting popular. They consist of product with acid, mechanical peel and soothing cream. If you want to enhance the effects, you can get a device for microdermabrasion – the smaller version of the one found in beauty salons.

If you follow these rules, you’ll easily get rid of comedones just like I did. Let me know about the effects!
