How does Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clays by Laura Mercier serve me?

Hello!

Lately, I’ve had the opportunity to give a go to Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clays by Laura Mercier. I bought this cosmetic because of the intriguing formula and colours which really appeal to me. Go on reading my entry to find out whether this product fulfilled my expectations.

Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clays – Case with shades

This cosmetic by Laura Clarins is closed in a rectangular case featuring a mirror. Also, we have here six eye shadows and a fixing powder in a very light shade. The shades were grouped accordingly to the finish they provide: mate (black, brown, blue) and metallic (Rust, Pewter, Platinum). I have to tell you that the eye colours have a very interesting formula, they resemble clay. Is it good or bad? – keep reading.

Eye shadows by Laura Maercier – My impression

Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clays resembles formula of creamy eye shadows. I thought, the cosmetic by Laura Mercier would be easy to apply and wouldn’t make my eye skin area dry (it happened more than once that other eye shadows affected me in this negative way). Ok, perhaps it was gentle for eye skin area, but the final effect of eye make-up wasn’t so stunning. After a few hours the shades creased and became lumpy in the corners of the eyes. Moreover, the pigment faded away and the colour became less intensive. Additionally, just one layer of the product wasn’t enough in order to obtain enhanced make-up. I think, you’ve already guessed that two and more layers of the cosmetic wouldn’t look appealing after a few hours of wearing.

How did I apply the eye shadows?

As far as I’m concerned, you can apply Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clay by Laura Mercier in two ways: using either a brush or your fingertips. More often I followed the second manner of putting on the shadows because it seemed to be easier to apply clay-textured cosmetic that way. However, using a brush to put on the shadows delivers interesting effects, too. Such an applicator can turn out to be useful to bring out the lower eyelid out or to apply a line along upper eyelash root line. The last piece of information, when you finish doing eye make-up with Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clay, you can fix it with the powder that the palette houses.

Would I buy eye shadows by Laura Maercier again? If their formula was different – yes, I would because the colours are really pretty.
