My Evening Beauty Routine – How I Care for Skin before Sleep

Hello, beauties!
An evening is my favourite time of a day. After long and busy hours, I finally have a moment of relief. The ideal time to care for myself and my body.

I always begin with a cup of green tea which lets me get rid of toxins and calms me down before sleep. Next, I pull my hair up (if it’s the oiling day, I apply my beloved hair oil first). Next, I move on to removing makeup.

Makeup Removal

I remove makeup products with oils after discovering the oil cleansing method. Oils deal even with waterproof cosmetics in no time.
I pour castor oil and sweet almond oil on my hands, rubbing them between palms. I massage the warm oil into the facial skin using circular motions. The massage takes two minutes tops. Next, I wipe the excess of the oil with a cotton pad and move on to washing with a gentle gel for the sensitive skin. Finally, I tap a toner in.

Bath

It’s time for a bath with scented candles. I always take a book with me. Nothing is more relaxing than a good read 🙂
Instead of a bubble bomb, I pour some moisturising emulsion to water. In the bath, I use a body scrub and a massaging glove. The warm bath opens skin pores so it preps the skin for the absorption of nutrients.

Nourishing

After the bath, I rub Shea butter into the skin and apply an anti-wrinkle face serum, an illuminating under-eye cream and eyelash serum 🙂 When the products are absorbed, I apply a moisturiser enriched with a few drops of a raspberry oil. Instead of creams, I sometimes apply a mix of oils: almond, camellia and argan. I rub coconut oil or already-mentioned Shea butter in the hand skin. A lip balm, the last chapter of a novel and… sleep tight 🙂

I’m curious about your evening beauty routine! What do you prefer – a long bath or a quick shower? 🙂
